English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “The Legendary Cultivator Mystic Ax Spirit Mother”

Overview:

Wang Ling and his companions are about to learn the Mystic Ax Divine Technique when Yekui attacks them.

Our Take:

This show has gotten a lot better since Sun Rong “died” because that was when Wang Ling began to get a personality. I love an emotionally distant protagonist as much as the next guy, but when they start to care about things, that’s when magic can truly happen. It’s not just his feelings towards Sun Rong that have changed, but he seems to have taken a more active interest in his friends and family. I legitimately can’t wait for his sister to be born because I want to see how they interact. After all, we know that she won’t be a normal baby.

We know that because when Wang Ling went to save his family from an attack, he didn’thave to do anything because his sister saved them. She’s not even born yet! She’s still in his mom, and she somehow destroyed the bad guys coming to attack them. The action has gotten a lot better, but I would honestly like to see more slice of life in the upcoming episodes.
