English Dub Review: Sentenced to Be a Hero “Sentence: Undercover Investigation in District of Sodrick 1”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
To investigate the would-be assassins, an unexpected duo goes undercover in the Adventurers Guild.
Our Take:
As if fighting two giant Demon Lords wasn’t challenging enough for the sentenced heroes. We now have one that’s able to disguise itself as a human, making the search for it far more difficult than fighting the creature. However, that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Teoritta, who suspects that one of the assassins, Boojum, could be the dangerous demon in disguise. Given Boojum holding his own against Xylo and the others in the previous episode, this clue sort of checks out. But even if that’s the case, there’s still the matter of the Holy Knights suspecting that someone is a traitor in the midst. While it may seem like the traditional “whodunit” premise involving a sneaky shapeshifter, that’s not the case.
Instead, the episode focuses on Xylo and Kivia going undercover in an Adventurers Guild to capture Lideo Sodrick, the guild master who’s in cahoots with the assassins. It not only continues the show’s display of its animation style, particularly in the episode’s final moments, but also its ability to engage through character-driven moments. One example is Dotta’s flashback, which highlights more of his background through his trial. Like Xylo, he was falsely punished for doing the right thing, underscoring the hidden conspiracy by the higher-ups who put the “criminals” into roles as heroes without actual evidence. Considering the Demon Lord’s formidable ability and the undercover mission, it looks like Sentenced to Be a Hero might conclude its already stellar season on an explosive note, and I’m here for it.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
