English Dub Review: Dead Account “The Worst Trio Possible”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Soji’s first mission alongside bickering Kasubata and Urusugawa runs into an unforeseen complication.
Our Take:
With Soji having his flames under control, he has already been assigned his first exorcism. However, his first mission isn’t a solo one. Instead, Soji winds up allying with Kasubata and Kiyomi Urusugawa, a goth-like exorcist who isn’t too thrilled with becoming one. This is due to her obsession with a boyband guitarist named Yami, with her exorcist job taking more time away from her watching his livestreams. However, she compensates with her slime pistol cyberkinesis. As seen in the previous episode, Kasubata and Urusugawa aren’t exactly on the same page, which may or may not bode well for their task of eliminating dead accounts at an electronics store. One of those accounts includes Kirika, a mid-level spirit whose regeneration abilities pose a dangerous threat to the digital exorcists.
Fortunately, despite the quarrels and toxicity, Soji’s new partners made quite the unexpected team, showcasing that even the trashiest of people can become the best exorcists. Along with its depiction of teamwork and serviceable action, “The Worst Trio Possible” offers a tad more of the anime’s world-building, including the different levels of ghost accounts. While the regular ghost accounts pose no threat, the mid-level spirits, notably cursed ones like Kirika, are another story, reflecting the premise’s “David vs. Goliath” scenario. It also shows that Soji’s Demon Flame is harmless to humans, since he is human himself, which means the students should be less concerned about him, hopefully. But, will his Demon Flame outmatch the one belonging to Sad Boy K?

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
