English Dub Review: A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans “The Misanthrope and the Lonely Castle Under the Full Moon” ;”The Misanthrope and the Angel’s Comet”
Overview:
Isaki stops attending class and refuses to leave her room until Rei encounters her by chance one night.
Sui learns some unexpected news about Seiko Kizaki, the human she’s indebted to, and turns to Rei for help.
Our Take(Spoilers):
Isaki is a reverse werewolf. Most of the time, she’s a wolf, but when the full moon rises, she turns human. I don’t fully understand the school’s powers over the demi-humans because she looks human-ish to me most of the time, but I understand the school has powers, so maybe that’s what she’s trying to attain by going there. What I enjoyed was the fact that so far, there hadn’t been any student crushes or anything, and he was helping his students.
That changed in the second episode we got today, but the way it was handled gives me hope that it’s just a one-off joke thing. After Rei helps Sui see her human friend, the principal makes a comment about her having a crush on Rei. Hopefully, it stays a joke, but what I loved about this episode was seeing what kind of “creature” Sui is. She was a stuffed rabbit doll that now wants to become human so she can be by her human’s side, but unfortunately, she only has a few months to live. I liked getting to know Sui and Isaki more in these last couple of episodes.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
