English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Birth of the Demon Child?”

Overview:

Wang Ling, his family, and the world are preparing for the arrival of the Immortal King’s little sister.

Our Take:

I’m glad that this show is back because I could use some laughs in my life. I forgot that Wang Ling’s mother was about to have a baby and the opening of this episode showed a possible funny future. Well… it’s not funny if you’re a mortal like most of us but for Wang Ling it could be funny. It was a scene of his infant sister and him fighting and destroying the world. I hope that doesn’t come to pass but it did get me thinking that his sister is probably going to be powerful in her own right.

I also like how far the relationship between Wang Ling and Sun Rong has come. At the end of the episode because of the crazy shenanigans he ends up wiping everyone’s memories except for Sun Rong’s. He mentioned this spell pact that they took together and it made me happy to realize that Wang Ling has begun to have some human emotions. These episodes are shorter than I’m used to but maybe we need something short and sweet right now.
