English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Day-Tripping Down to Naniwa!”
Overview:
Pop gets invited to a mascot-idol event in Osaka, and Koichi accompanies her.
Our Take(Spoilers):
I wasn’t quite ready to let My Hero Academia go, so the second season of Vigilantes came at the perfect time. One thing I appreciate about this show is that it leans into the things I loved about the earlier season of MHA. I love the slice-of-life parts, seeing people with powers live out their daily lives. It’s also cool to see Koichi and Pop get a little closer by going full steam ahead with the idol stuff.
Deaths in MHA were few and far between, but one thing about this being a really nice prequel of sorts is getting to see Midnight again. She became a character that I loved and enjoyed, and hated seeing her be one of the few characters to not make it. In fact, I think she was the only character to die, on-screen at least.
What I didn’t expect was to have a new favorite character only one episode into the new season. Kaniko is a girl who is trying to be an idol as well and uses the fact that her hair looks like a crab to her advantage. Her idol abilities leave much to be desired, but that could be because we learn that she’s an undercover police officer. That revelation doesn’t come till the very end of the episode, but I’m very excited to see where it goes.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
