English Dub Review: Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! “The Voracious Villainess’s Resolve”
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
Melphie and Aristide finally arrive in Galbraith, where Melphie gets settled in while being groomed by the Blanche Corps, a team of knights that also specialize in making things look good.
OUR TAKE
Hey, we finally (yeah, I’ve been using that word a lot lately) get to see Galbraith! And while it is visually not that different from territories we’ve seen before in the show, it’s already a big difference for Melphie as she’s not shunned or simply tolerated, but in fact embraced by everyone there the moment she arrives! Yeah, this is mostly an episode about settling in and Melphie getting used to her new arrangements, so there’s not very much in terms of conflict, but it’s still a good chance to see how, despite their harsh reputation, everyone here is actually super nice and cool! None more so than the Blanche Corps, who Aristide sends Melphie to get her hair straightened out. They consist of Captain Lusable, Vice-captain Natalie and Lady Lillian, who can pretty much be summarized as the cool leader (Lusable), the upstart kid (Lillian), and…the other one (Natalie). Yeah, Natalie hasn’t really made much of an impression yet but that could change. They basically just bond with Melphie for a bit and plan to look for a previously unknown plant called a Screamwood, which I guess will be the focus of at least one of the three remaining episodes.
So yeah, not a whole lot to talk about regarding the plot of this episode in particular, so I suppose I can use the remaining words to speculate on what will happen in the rest of this season. Obviously the next episode will involve Melphie and the Blanche Corps hunting this Screamwood, so that should take up one of the three, but after that, who knows? Maybe we’ll be getting ready for a royal wedding to finally (yep, again) get Melphie and Aristide to be a married couple, which is what this whole thing was leading to. Though I have to imagine that it won’t be that easy, as there’s still Melphie’s stepmom Celia who absolutely despises her and may do something untoward to mess with this wedding and her happiness. Or we could very well just have three more episodes of fun monster hunting and monster eating adventures and end the season and possibly series on a pleasant, if not unresolved, note for a potential second season. One thing’s for sure, I hope we have more to talk about with this show in the coming weeks than just how fun and happy everything has been. We need some spice and salt to go with all of this sugar!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
