Review: Haha, You Clowns! “Plane”
Overview
Dad confronts his fear of flying on the way to Mexico.
Our Take
The fear of flying, peanut allergies, and terrible in-flight entertainment, all of which are common relatable ailments that everyone can relate to and Haha, You Clowns! hits it all right on the money. For starters, Joe Cappa has a deranged and twisted mind that I don’t think is being fully talked about here. Most are noting the sweetness of this series as they should, but Joe has Seinfeld jokes hidden in his shorts in just about each episode and that’s put on display this week in his depictions of Elf and even the in-flight seat belt video, all jammed up here and all shockingly accurate.
This week’s episode of Haha, You Clowns! isn’t even about the destination so much as it is about the trip and this week’s episode is definitely a trip. Joe tends to focus on small and mundane sequences that might only be fascinating for a few, but they are there, and are always fun to find on a weekly basis.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
