English Dub Review: To Your Eternity “Trouble.”
Overview
Fushi will have his first date with Mizuha while trying to stop Mimori, and starts to discover that “The Black One,” who used to mentor Fushi, is now under a different identity…
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode that was heavily Hirotoshi-focused (and all kinds of uncomfortable), we’re back to focus squarely on Fushi as he struggles to navigate the emotional strain caused by his recent choices, especially in how they affect Tonari, Mizuha, and Satoru, with Tonari emerging as the clear moral anchor throughout. Her direct honesty challenges Fushi’s good intentions, forcing him to recognize that honoring the memories of his fallen friends carries emotional weight far beyond simply shape-shifting into their forms. At the same time, her consistent attitude highlights how far Fushi has drifted from the awareness he once held.
Meanwhile, Mizuha, Satoru, Hirotoshi, and the Nokker-controlled Mimori add layers of tension, humor, and discomfort, creating an atmosphere where intention, consequence, and identity feel increasingly unstable as shifting loyalties and emotional vulnerabilities complicate every interaction, and maintains its focus on personal growth and the ongoing challenge of understanding human emotion even for someone who has lived for hundreds if not thousands of years…
Overall, the episode unfolds as a messy but meaningful turning point that centers on Fushi’s emotional missteps, Tonari’s unwavering clarity, and the shifting roles of characters like Mizuha, Satoru, and Hirotoshi, all while expanding the surrounding mystery of the Nokkers. It balances character drama, unsettling humor, and thematic tension as shifting roles for figures like Mizuha, Satoru, and Hirotoshi reinforce how fragile the current emotional and moral balance has become. And aside from the bizarre scene at the end, I’m curious to see where this goes next!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
