English Dub Review: Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty “Lady Version: In No Way is That a Waste!/ Rock Version: I Have a Secret Plan!”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Five days—if Tina can improve in five days, then she can stay in the band. Lilisa will make sure of it.
Our Take:
Tamiki sure was a tough nut to crack in the previous episode, particularly for her behavior towards Lilisa. Unsurprisingly, she’s no different in this episode, as she seeks to remove Tina from the band due to the latter’s struggle to keep up with the musical momentum. Fortunately, Lilisa, being a good friend, stepped in to help Tina improve her keyboard skills so that she could stay in the group. Of course, with the battle of the bands inching closer than ever, they’ll have to improve as quickly as possible to ensure a clear victory against Bitter Ganache. This episode further explores Tamaki’s strict personality and her brief background, including when she first began taking an interest in rock music. It appeared that Tamaki also struggled in her early days as a musician, which would’ve explained her rigorous perfection.
However, the real deal remains the dynamic between Tamaki and Lilisa, which is somehow akin to “Whiplash”. Tamaki falls into the same vein as J. K. Simmons’ Terence Fletcher from Damien Chazelle’s psychological drama, with Lilisa, along with Tina, assuming Miles Teller’s role in their attempt to meet Tamaki’s demanding conditions. Of course, both Terence and Tamaki possess an irritating trait that makes us want to slam their heads with a guitar. That’s pretty much rock n roll for you. It brings out the aggression in all of us, along with our true selves, whether as rockers or audience members. Will Lilisa’s band’s own aggression be enough to conquer the battle of the bands and even surpass Tamaki’s expectations? For the latter, I can only hope so just to shut that noob’s mouth for good.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
