English Dub Review: Call of the Night “12th Night: Call of the Night”

Overview:

Growing up doesn’t guarantee answers to life. As Ko wonders what it means to be ordinary, he and Nazuna venture through the city. Where will the night take them this time?

Our Take:

As far as season finales go, this one was super chill. After the wild events that occurred in the last few episodes, it was much needed, in my opinion. Anko has now become the neediest person I’ve ever seen. She practically demands that Ko and Nazuna keep her company so that she can get to sleep. It was honestly cute, and Nazuna might have some competition now. Though something tells me that more people would be upset with Anko dating a teenager than Nazuna, because she’s a vampire for some reason. Both are problematic in my opinion, but that’s anime for you.

From there, Ko and Nazuna did the rounds and met with everyone. When they went to the maid cafe to see Midori, they got dragged into working, unfortunately, but I think they had a good time. One of my favorite moments came near the end of the episode when Ko said something sweet and cute to Nazuna while they were flying, and she dropped him. She was able to save him in time, but it’s nice getting to see her flustered every once in a while.
