English Dub Review: Bad Girl “I Hate You / Is Ruu Cute? / First Kiss”

Overview:

Mistaking Yuu for one of her fans, school idol Rura offers to shake her hand. But Yuu is so preoccupied with thoughts of Atori that she won’t even admit that Rura is cute.

Our Take:

We’re finally introduced to the fourth girl we’ve seen in the opening. Her name is Rura, and I was right, she is voiced by Brittney Karbowski! Rura, I think, is going to be a fun character because she considers herself the school idol, so you can imagine that she gets upset when Yuu keeps mentioning Atori. This episode only served as an introduction to Rura, but I think we will get more of her as the season progresses.

One of the things I love about Yuu is the fact that she’s so terrible at being a bad girl. During a community cleanup event, she’s resolved to make everyone else feel terrible by cleaning up all the trash, thus leaving none for anyone else to pick up. I don’t know if you’ve ever been to a community service type event, but I would love it if someone did that at any event I went to. Yuu still has a lot to learn about being bad.
