Disney+ Launches “The Simpsons Stream,” a 24/7 Dedicated Channel
In a move that delights fans of America’s longest-running animated family, Disney+ has introduced “The Simpsons Stream,” a 24/7 dedicated channel that offers a continuous feed of the iconic series. The launch gives all Disney+ subscribers—including those on the ad-supported tier—access to a never-ending marathon of Springfield’s finest.
Nonstop Homer, Bart, and Marge
The new “lean-back” viewing experience features all 35 seasons of The Simpsons, which air in chronological order at launch. This continuous stream totals approximately 300 hours of non-stop episodes, ensuring that viewers can tune in anytime for a dose of “chalk boards, couch gags, and cowabungas.”
The stream caters to viewers suffering from “choice fatigue,” allowing them to simply hit play and let the antics of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie wash over them, much like the show’s glory days in cable syndication.
Part of a Larger Collection
The stream’s programming lineup will be refreshed monthly, sometimes featuring special curated content. For instance, in the past, Disney+ has launched limited-time feeds dedicated to episodes like the “Treehouse of Horror” specials or “Back-to-School” episodes.
In addition to the 35 seasons featured on the stream, Disney+ subscribers have access to a wealth of other Simpsons content on-demand, including:
-
The Simpsons Movie (2007)
-
Over 10 shorts featuring the family, including those tied to the Fortnite video game.
-
Exclusive full-length episodes.
The dedicated Simpsons stream is part of a larger strategy by Disney+ to offer “always-on” streams, joining other channels available to Premium subscribers like “HITS & HEROES” (for action content) and “THROWBACKS” (for nostalgic favorites).
As showrunner Matt Selman put it, “The Simpsons Stream will deliver a Simpsons marathon all day, every day — no matter when you tune in, this ultimate Simpsons binge will be there.”

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
