Review: Krapopolis “There’s Something About Viscera”

Overview

Shlub’s Endless Wine, Cheese, and Pita Festival causes a famine; Stupendous and Deliria have a girls weekend.

Our Take

Viscera is the name of a girl that Tyrannus takes a liking to as part of an almost arranged marriage between Shlub and Viscera’s father Asskill. The interesting part about this whole thing is that we have seen yet another thread to keep track of for the upcoming season of Krapopolis. So, in addition to Deliria’s aforementioned queendom and Shlub being king, we’ve got quite a few things riding on the show that is nearly a 1/3rd of the way through it’s third season.

For my money, Krapopolis has a lot of fun ideas in store for this season and I’m excited to see every one of them. Especially with Asskill being portrayed by Keith David? I’m in. Even more so than I am with Deliria’s bits as they just seem to be repeating themselves every week with just her absconding to networking events every other week with either Stu or Hippo usually tagging along. This week’s episode had the worst one yet that was literally just a bunch of lame montages.

Krapopolis shuffling the cards this season to see what happens seems like a big swing that appears to be paying off quite a bit. Normally I seldom care for Tyrannus like at all and this season I find myself enjoying his chill lifestyle and the potential for a new love interest. For Shlub, his screw-ups, while so far only offering quick glimpses, are far more silly than the season’s past. What, if anything, all of these ideas will lead to is anyone’s guess but I’m totally here for it. I mean, hey! When you have the lowest rated animated sitcom created by the less creative half of Rick and Morty, you might as well go Big Papi and Alex Rubens is doing just that.
