English Dub Review: Tougen Anki “Momotaro Spirit”

Overview:

Our Take:

Yesterday I cut my finger on some glass; it hurt like hell for most of the day, and when I was watching this episode, it got me thinking. To use their blood powers, all these Oni intentionally cut themselves open in one way or another. Most of them bite a fingertip to get the blood flowing, and I have to imagine that hurts like hell. I had a small cut on my finger, and it ruined my day; these people put themselves through something worse than that daily. It made me realize this is a power system that, while it looks cool, wouldn’t be the most practical.

One thing this episode had a lot of was horny individuals. Yusurube is a character in the group we haven’t gotten to spend a lot of time with, and that boy is sprung. He essentially propositioned Byoubugaura to have sex in the tunnel they were in. Not a few moments later, Yaoroshi put my thoughts into words when it came to Momotaro Momokusa’s outfit. Why does she run around exposed like she does? It was a wild episode that didn’t really advance much.
