English Dub Review: Call of the Night “4th Night: Do you want to be able to run?”

Overview:

Some patients say Room 307 is haunted, and Kabura warns Ko and Nazuna to stay away. Something’s in that forbidden room. Something that might hold the key to the past.

Our Take(Spoilers):

In this episode, we learned about Kabura’s backstory. Her friends were some of the shittiest friends I’ve seen in anime. Kabura was a sickly person, and while on the outside they seemed like good people who were nice and waited for her to get better, it turns out they weren’t nice at all. She went with them to a drinking party and overheard them saying some pretty mean and hurtful things. But the most fascinating part of the episode was her nurse, who looked exactly like Nazuna, with the same last name.

This leads me to believe that this person is Nazuna’s mother. But it raises more questions as well because it seems like her mother was a vampire. So was Nazuna born a vampire? It showed how Kabura became a vampire as well, and it was Nazuna’s mother who turned her, which implies that Kabura was in love with Nazuna’s mother. If I were Kabura, I would have wanted to become a vampire as well. Spending your entire life sick wouldn’t be fun, and it would be nice to run around without having to catch my breath.
