English Dub Review: Rent-a-Girlfriend “Decision and Girlfriend”

Overview:

Kazuya has his mind set on making his move, and Chizuru has realized something too.

Our Take:

I always forget that Sumi is probably the only one who isn’t toxic in this entire series. To Kazuya’s credit, he tried to break up with Ruka even though they aren’t together. He told her that he has feelings for Chizuru, and it doesn’t feel right to continue to act as her trial boyfriend. But she wouldn’t have it and refused to break up with him. Now, I’m not trying to sound like a dick, but if you tell someone you want to break up and they say no, in my eyes, you’re now broken up and you’re free to do what you want. But Kazuya puts simping to another level and won’t even stand up for himself when it comes to his wants and needs.

I’m fully aware that Ruka and he being together isn’t the only blocking his path to being with Chizuru but it would be a massive first step. Mami, meanwhile, is back to being nosy as hell, getting involved with everyone’s business. I always found it weird that she cared what Kazuya did when she was the one to break up with him. Like I said earlier… everyone in this shit is toxic.

Error happened.
