Bizaar Animation, Backed by George R. R. Martin and Jimmy Iovine, Launches on FAST Platforms
A new player is entering the adult animation space, with the launch of Bizaar Animation, a Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) channel now available on Samsung TV Plus and Xumo Play. The venture, backed by high-profile figures including “Game of Thrones” creator George R. R. Martin and music mogul Jimmy Iovine, aims to be a destination for “mind-bending” and avant-garde animation.
Bizaar Animation was co-founded by Jeremy Iovine (Iovine’s son), Amir Mohamadzadeh, and Eric Bromberg. The channel’s mission is to showcase genre-defying and experimental content from both independent creators and established veterans. The curated lineup will include a mix of globally acclaimed anime, indie shorts, and animated documentaries.
The channel’s programming promises to cater to a diverse range of tastes, featuring classic titles such as the 1960s anime “Speed Racer” and the “Lupin the 3rd” series. According to the co-founders, the goal is to create a platform that encourages artists to push the boundaries of the animated medium and redefine what is possible in adult storytelling.
