The cast and producers of Futurama returned to San Diego Comic-Con, where they gave fans a look at the show’s upcoming 13th season. During the panel, a world premiere of “top-secret, never-before-seen footage” was unveiled, and the creators joked about the show’s history of cancellations.
Co-showrunner David X. Cohen announced a major guest star for the new season: NBA player Victor Wembanyama, who will appear in the season 13 premiere. The producers also confirmed that the season finale would further explore the backstory of Fry and his brother.
The new season, consisting of 10 episodes, will be released all at once on Hulu on September 15, marking a change from the show’s previous staggered release schedule. The panel also featured a table read of an upcoming episode and was attended by creator Matt Groening and a number of the show’s vocal superstars, including Billy West, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, David Herman, and Maurice LaMarche.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
