English Dub Review: The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows “Just a Normal Healer”

Zenos is invited to a dinner party by Goldran, where he hopes to discover the truth.

Our Take:

This was a fun episode up until the ending. Let’s get into it. Zophia’s brother got injured in an accident and had a whole stake of wood sticking into his gut. She and the other girls didn’t want to bother Zenos and blow his cover, but what else were they supposed to do? At the very least, they decided to pay him double the rate, which makes sense given everything at stake. Heh… stake. Anyways, they show up and chaos ensues to a degree, but I found it funny that they were asking for Zenos, and someone at the party said, “Zenos? Like Zeno but with an s?” Once again… awful alias for being undercover.

Zenos was able to save the man no problem, and he found out what he needed because Becker agreed to tell Zenos what he wanted to know the next day. This is where things went as I expected them to. Goldran is a piece of shit no doubt, but I’ve watched enough anime to know that a character who never opens their eyes has a hidden side. Becker is no different, and it looks like he killed or at least seriously harmed a lot of students and Goldran. I can’t imagine what he is doing is good, but we’ll find out next week.
