English Dub Review: Rent-a-Girlfriend “Routine and Girlfriend”
Overview:
Summer break is over, and routine returns to Kazuya’s life. Something he needs to fix, and fast.
Our Take:
We have some cast changes this season and I don’t know what to make of it. Aleks Le is no longer the voice of Kazuya and Lizzie Freeman isn’t the voice Chizuru. I’m torn with how to feel about it. On one hand I think these actors are talented and can do way better than voicing the characters on this garbage show. But when they were some of the only things I liked about the show in the first place it makes me even less excited to review more of this trainwreck. From what I can find it seems that their schedules didn’t line up with recording times for this.
The show goes on as they say and Rent-a-Girlfriend is no different… unfortunately. This episode started and immediately Kazuya did some clown behavior. Look… we all have urges and I’m not here to tell you he shouldn’t be jerking off but you don’t have to be so insufferable about it. Everything this guy does makes me hate him more. In the entirety of the series, the only time Kazuya hasn’t acted like a loser piece of shit was when he went all out to film the movie for Chizuru. That feels like an eternity ago. Don’t watch this show unless you hate yourself or have some sunk-cost fallacy mindset.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
