English Dub Review: New Saga “I’ll Change My Fate”
Overview:
Kyle is sent back in time after his fateful fight with the demon king and swears to save the world this time.
Our Take:
In a world with isekai after isekai, it’s kind of nice to get a show that’s set in a fantasy world without someone having to get reincarnated in it. It still feels like an isekai to an extent because the main character gets sent back in time, which I suppose you could argue is a “different world”. But now Kyle has a chance to change things, and I have to admit that I’m a sucker for series like this. I like it when they show things that happened in the bad timeline and compare the differences.
It looks like this show will have a little bit of everything going on. There’s a girl that Kyle is in love with, who I imagine would be the girl he hugged like crazy when he got sent back, but who can be sure? There was only one thing that threw me for a loop, and that was Kyle’s mom. He was talking to a young woman who I thought might be the romantic interest, but then he talked to her about birthing him. I would say she doesn’t have the mom hairstyle of doom that almost every mom in anime who dies wears, but unfortunately, it seems like she died regardless.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
