English Dub Review: New Saga “Application of the Contract”

Overview:

Kyle reunites with some old companions in new ways before making his first major play to change the future.

Our Take:

I’m starting to enjoy this show a lot. I don’t know how well the harem elements will be incorporated, but Kyle at least seems like a protagonist who isn’t completely dense to the affections of women. This includes Sildonia who is the spirit of a sword or something. I love her inclusion in the series because she is someone that Kyle can confide in when it comes to the alternate timeline he finds himself in.

Kyle has been part of the reason I’ve started to like this show. He has knowledge of awful things happening and is doing his best to change them. He’s not above making himself look like a douche to do it either. There was a plot to kill a princess that succeeded the last time and he plans to stop it and use the fame he gains to become a hero sooner. Someone who didn’t know the situation would possibly think that’s a scummy thing to do but we know better.

I think my favorite part of the episode was when he finally made the contract Urza. The last time he did that with her was when they were lovers and they sealed the contract with a kiss. This led him to believe that’s how you seal ALL contracts like that. So he kissed her and that was something she did not appreciate… yet.
