Get Ready for More Food Porn! Sausage Party: Foodtopia Returns for a Second Course on Prime Video
Brace yourselves, foodies with a penchant for the profane! Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced the return of Sausage Party: Foodtopia, the animated series sequel to the raunchy 2016 film Sausage Party. According to a press release, the series is set to premiere its second season on Prime Video starting August 13th with all eight episodes dropping at once, promising more uncensored and outrageous adventures from our favorite sentient supermarket snacks.
In Season Two, exiled from home, Frank, Barry, and Sammy soon find themselves in New Foodland, a shining utopia for food and humans alike. But beneath the city’s glossy fridges and cheery smiles lies a dark secret that threatens the entirety of sentient food society.
Returning cast members include Seth Rogen, Will Forte, Edward Norton, and Michael Cera—with some tasty new additions: Academy Award-winner Marion Cotillard as “Dijon”, a badass warrior-mustard princess who pilots the most effective humey in New Foodland, Jillian Bell as “Trish”, an empathic nut that puts the wellbeing of New Foodland above all else, Martin Starr as “Sherman,” Trish’s right-hand man and a cake who is not all that he appears to be, and Patti Harrison as “Jill”, a humey from New Foodland.
The original movie, co-written by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir, shocked and amused audiences with its unexpected blend of animated charm and decidedly R-rated content. The first season of Sausage Party: Foodtopia continued this tradition, delving deeper into the lives (and eventual fates) of the various food items as they navigated the perils of the human world – or rather, the world beyond the grocery store.
So, prepare your stomachs (and your sense of humor) for another helping of Sausage Party: Foodtopia. It’s bound to be a wild and definitely not-for-the-faint-of-heart culinary adventure!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
