English Dub Review: To Be Hero X “Tough Girl”

Genius youth inventor Loli dreams of becoming a hero, but her looks prevent her from gaining Trust Value.

Our Take:

How does this show follow-up amazing animation with even better animation? Not only that, but I always get a little disappointed when we move from one character to another. But to this show’s credit, I have never once been upset for long. The first episode for each new character has been fantastic, and this one is no different. I don’t know how I feel about a hero who struggles with being “cute” being called Loli, but it could be worse, I suppose.

What I do approve of is Loli’s first hero suit. A suit like Iron Man with a bunny helmet? Sign me up. With the way trust values work, I can see how Loli would struggle to make her dream of being a hero tough. She was killing a workout set when her hair fell out of her hat, and for some reason, her muscles deteriorated when the guys realized she was a girl. Awkward naming choices aside, I’m excited to see how Loli becomes a hero. I just hope that she at least somewhat keeps the same super suit design.
