English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “First Event Is Over!”

Overview:

Ririsa dazzles the entire venue with her amazing Liliel cosplay, but now she and Okumura need to handle her newfound popularity.

Our Take:

I had a feeling that Ririsa would be a natural when it came to cosplaying. Photographers lined up left and right to try and get a photo of her. She was crowded so much that Okumara wasn’t able to get a photo until after the show was over. Once again, I loved how much all the other cosplayers supported Ririsa by helping her with the things she needed, and even helped send the photographers her way.

For a second, I thought that this was going to be one of the best rom-coms of all time, with Ririsa seemingly confessing to Okumara already. But it turned out she meant that she’s in love with cosplaying and that Okumara is the photographer she needs to succeed. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with this turn of events. I thought it would be interesting if she confessed to being in love with him, and the rest of the episodes were then navigating those feelings. Instead, they both think that the feelings they are experiencing are related to cosplay.
