Review: Bob’s Burgers “Mr. Fischoeder’s Opus”
Overview

Our Take
Don’t listen to that network-provided synopsis above. This week’s return episode of Bob’s Burgers season 15 sees Mr. Fischoeder conduct a concerto that gets a pre-game Bob-catered evening soiree that nearly causes the ensuing performance to be doomed to controversy, but the show’s respect to music continues and everything goes ahead as planned.
The Scott Jacobson-penned episode probably has some tropey-moments when it concerns the Belcher family, when the focus is all on Fischoeder this episode is all flash with plenty of cash. The kids go through Calvin’s mansion and Bob nearly causes a kerfuffle, but really this episode is all about Fischoeder’s punk rock attitude seeping into his classical roots and ultimately listening to his heart on what he wants to play.
Music has always been important to Bob’s Burgers. Maybe not to the level of Loren Bouchard’s other series Central Park but definitely more-so than most adult animated series on broadcast television. As a result, the core argument that ensues from the show is really a brilliant take that comes with very funny dialogue coming by way of a script that’s very well-written. It’s taken six months to get new episodes of Bob’s Burgers, and I can’t wait to dig into the rest of the season.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
