English Dub Review: The Beginning After the End “The King’s Test”

Overview

Arthur finds himself in hostile territory after escorting Tessia home to the kingdom of elves.

Our Take

This time around, Tensions rise as Arthur finds himself caught in the middle of a deeply rooted conflict within Tessia’s Elf world. The atmosphere is uneasy, with suspicion and prejudice fueling key interactions early on. Despite this, certain individuals step forward to challenge those assumptions, while Arthur tries to establish his genuine innocence.

The rest of the proceedings are spent strongly on character dynamics and emotional growth. As a sudden challenge later on adds an exciting burst of energy and leads to an important discovery about Arthur that may shape his path going forward…

Overall, the episode blends world-building, emotional weight, and light action with mixed results. While the visuals and pacing might not impress everyone, the narrative continues to hint at more meaningful developments ahead. The contrast between cynicism and hope, along with tradition and change, begins to shape Arthur’s place in this world he’s currently stuck in, leaving the door open for storyline possibilities, and I’m compelled to see where it goes next!
