English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Crossing Lines”

Overview:

Hachisuka tries manipulating Stendhal into fighting targets of her choosing, but can anyone control him?

Our Take:

Koichi embodies a lot of the same things that Deku does but instead of having no quirk he just so happens to have a quirk that isn’t super useful. But one thing I love about this show is how (other than Deku) there aren’t “power-ups” people learn to use the quirk in unique ways. Not everyone has a quirk conducive to being a hero but they make it work. My hope is that somewhere down the line something clicks for him and he can make it work because he definitely has the attitude to be a hero.

We also got confirmation that Stendhal is Stain. If you were wondering if this would show how his face got so messed up then wonder no more. Though if you thought someone else did it to him then you were wrong because that boy cut off his own nose. He decided that no longer would he wear a mask and that from now on his face would be his mask. Though if I’m not mistaken doesn’t he still wear a small mask? Either way… it takes a lot of resolve to cut off your own nose.
