English Dub Review: I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! “The Seven-Leaf Clover”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Clover returns to Finis with Niberune, who has officially become their seventh party member.
Our Take:
Clover’s second dungeon adventure had come to a close! However, the series’s first season is far from over, especially with another new dungeon heading its way, as teased by Prince Mastoma in last week’s episode. By my indication, it seemed that that dungeon hidden in Salmutaria would serve as the season’s third and final arc that could be as dangerous as the one in Duna. But let’s face it. I’m not sure if any dungeon could compete with the one that houses an entire city and could bring about the end of the world. I would like to be proven wrong, though.
However, before we even get to that point of the season, we have another laidback episode that bridges the two dungeon adventures. This one involves Clover taking the load off following their high-stakes adventure in Glad Shi-im. This includes Yuke finally getting to spend one-on-one time with Nene after he promised her to do so. Unsurprisingly, she’s as energetic and joyful as before, especially regarding her shopping choices. Though, if you’re still not a fan of Nene’s high-pitched voice by then, this part of the episode won’t change your mind about her. Afterward, the team returns home to Finis to rest before tackling a new quest, although Yuke still has trouble taking his own advice to relax to heart.
“The Seven-Leaf Clover” is just as laidback as we’d expect from specific episodes focusing on the team dynamic rather than the dungeon exploration. While the appeal of the team chemistry still lingers, the episode’s plot was pretty uneventful regarding its exposition-filled sequences, resulting in a subpar conclusion to the show’s second arc. On the bright side, Rune became the latest member to join Clover, putting the leaves to a total of seven if you include Jamie. How reliable she’ll be in the team’s next mission would certainly be another question to answer as the show’s final arc will commence next week.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
