English Dub Review: From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! “Dad Puts On an Exhibition!”
Overview:
Grace’s father returns after a business trip, but proves he doesn’t know his daughter very well. However, as a fellow father, Kenzaburo understands that the man is trying his best.
Our Take:
This show could have easily veered into creepy perv territory, but instead, it has turned out to be one of the most wholesome shows I’ve watched in a while. When Grace’s father returned from a business trip, he brought a gift for Grace. The gift would have been fantastic if she were still a child, but unfortunately, most fifteen-year-old girls don’t like rocking horses anymore. But Grace acted with, well… grace and saved the situation by suggesting that the gift was for her younger cousin.
Grace later overheard her father sounding discouraged at the smithy. Kenzaburo is a father and is also technically older than the duke, so he has a bit of experience with not feeling like the best father. It was cute and I couldn’t help but smile as Grace gave her father the exact pep-talk that he needed. I think we forget that parents are people too, and in most cases, are trying their best to make their children happy. He might have messed up a tiny bit, but it’s obvious that his heart was in the right place.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
