English Dub Review: Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc- “His Butler, Despairing”

Overview:

Sebastian intuits that they are out of time and sternly confronts Ciel.

Our Take:

When the Queen of England asks you to do something, you must do it. The main problem for Sebastian is that the message and task are meant for Ciel, and he’s not up to any tasks as he is presently. At least in this case, Sebastian is a demon and happens to have a pact with Ciel so he can be a little more “convincing” than your average individual. He says that he wasn’t planning on devouring Ciel if he didn’t come to his senses, but I imagine he would have enjoyed the meal regardless.

Meanwhile, something is going on with Sullivan. She wants to go out and see things as opposed to reading about them, but Wolfram seems dead set on not letting her leave. I’m now starting to wonder if Sullivan is the master of this village or a prisoner. If I were a betting man, I would say that the order the Queen sent will have something to do with what is happening in the village. I would also guess that most of Sullivan’s servants are the werewolves we’ve been hearing about.

Error happened.
