English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “New Student from Another Dimension”
Overview:
Okumura may not be interested in 3D girls, but he’s surprised when he discovers that he and Ririsa share similar passions.
Our Take:
I’m trying not to be too pessimistic with this show, but it was a rough episode. Then I looked at the episode count, and there are twenty-four! With how annoying the protagonist is already, I can only imagine that he will get worse, and his inability to have relationships with real girls will only become more eye-roll inducing. I know that people like Okumura exist in real life, but not quite to the extent that he’s acting, I don’t think.
I could also be letting the lack of progress in another rom-com I reviewed today skew my opinion. But I have a feeling that Okumura and Ririsa are supposed to be the main couple, but there are going to be multiple girls introduced. This feels like a harem version of My Dress-up Darling! Except that Gojo isn’t an annoying bastard. I hope I’m wrong about this show, but the first episode was pretty lackluster. Let’s hope that it becomes one of the better rom-coms out there, and it isn’t all about ecchi, but there’s also heart to it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
