Overview
Wolf and Honeybee start a spooky new business that attracts a travel reviewer.
Our Take
If anybody knows how to construct a terrifying experience as a business it’s David “Superjail” Wain who guest stars in this week’s episode of The Great North. To be honest, I’m not sure this week’s episode couldn’t have been a contender for a Halloween episode with the pirate cosplaying and the whole premise of the episode being about having a spooky ship business, seems like the trademarks for a Halloween episode, but I live in the NYC-metro area and it’s been in the mid-40’s this whole week so everyday feels like Halloween where I’m from anyhow.
In any event, I think a very solid episode of The Great North coming from the one-and-only Emily Heller who weaves for us a tale that also seems to have some DNA of various Bob’s Burgers episodes where the show is constantly Bob or Linda panicking about the restaurant looking it’s best for a rendezvous of some sort that they typically over-exaggerate only to find out that if they do their best and work hard everything typically comes out in the wash at the end.
Extra kudos to Aimee Steinberger for her directing because as the episode moves along she really starts to ramp up the spookiness of everything as we move through the ship tour and the result is really well done. Overall, a solid, if not standard episode of Bob’s Burg–err I mean The Great North.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
