English Dub Review:The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You “The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You (89 To Go)”

Overview

Rentaro has come up with a convoluted plan to get Karane’s old personality back. Will it work out?

Our Take

In the season finale, the focus shifts to restoring Karane’s signature tsundere charm through a wild twist involving experimental drugs and a collective effort from her companions. Everyone comes together in a chaotic but surprisingly touching fashion, all while the show continues to blur the line between genuine romance and comedic mayhem. Despite all the comedic chaos, the sincerity of the ensemble’s dynamic shines through, creating a climax that feels fitting, funny, and oddly sweet all at once.

The second half of the episode gives room for the ensemble cast to express their affections and reaffirm long-held bonds and quirky team dynamics, as the characters share a series of meaningful, if lighthearted, confessions that underscore their connection. Despite its constant jokes and references, the show still manages to carve out moments of real warmth and connection between its leads.

Overall, the season closes out with a perfect balance of parody, passion, and personality. While the series never takes itself too seriously, it’s clear the creators poured love into every wild moment and fourth-wall-breaking gag. Upon research, this was taken from “Chapter 37” of the manga and it’s pretty damn impressive how much they crammed into the last few minutes of the episode. I later watched the Subbed version to know what the background text was saying afterward for it to make any kind of sense. The creative use of visual gags and playful banter punctuates the narrative, making the entire sequence an entertaining celebration of the show’s unique personality. At the very least, with a cast that continues to grow and a tone that never loses its playful edge, the show ends this season on a high note—and leaves plenty to look forward to in the future.
