English Dub Review: The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows “An Equal Price”

Overview:

Zenos, an unlicensed healer working in the shadows, works to fix what’s ailing his patients.

Our Take:

The first episode was a bit jarring for me. Mainly because it felt like we got dropped midway through or something. Many characters show up at Zeno’s house and seem to have a past with him, but we haven’t seen any of that. I’m sure we’ll probably get some flashbacks or something explaining everyone’s relation to Zeno. I have a lot of questions so far. Why does he live with an elf who thinks she’s going to be his wife? Why is there a ghost that lives there? There was a lot thrown at us with next to no explanation.

So far, we have a harem seemingly, but is the protagonist OP? That is also going to be a yes. He’s a healer who can use his healing powers in a multitude of ways that don’t seem like healing. If you watched Redo of Healer, you might know what I mean. He doesn’t use it in evil ways as of yet, but he manages to use healing powers to overpower people. It doesn’t make sense as of yet, but my interest is piqued.
