English Dub Review: Loner Life in Another World “The Loner & the Dungeon Emperor”

Overview:

The last boss, the Dungeon Emperor, awaits Haruka in the deepest depths of the dungeon.

Our Take:

Haruka is cared for, that’s for sure. As everyone tries to find him in the dungeon, they are reminded of moments when Haruka came through for them. For being such a loner, I find it fascinating that all of these people have a favorable opinion of Haruka. I’m starting to wonder if there’s some backstory for him we haven’t seen yet. He’s earned some respect since getting transported to this world, sure, but some of these characters saw him in a high regard before that.

When we last left Haruka, he was fighting a level 100 skeleton… thing. In traditional isekai fashion, Harkua manages to use his subjugate skill on them, and it turns out it’s a lady skeleton. He freaks out, thinking that it’s going to lead to the Class Rep getting mad at him, but how was he supposed to know? Something tells me she isn’t actually a skeleton either and that it was a mask or something, but only time will tell when it comes to that. I can’t say this arc has done a lot to keep me interested, but this could lead somewhere, I suppose.
