English Dub Review: Loner Life in Another World “Stampede”

Overview:

A massive horde of monsters closes in on the town. The only way to stop them is by defeating the dungeon’s last boss.

Our Take:

My biggest problem with a show like this is when it starts getting good near the end. If it had been like this from the beginning, I would have loved it. Not only that, but since it seems like a second season isn’t happening, all of this cool stuff happening won’t be getting much of a payoff. It’s annoying when an interesting character gets introduced this late in a broadcast.

I had a feeling that the “boss” with the skeleton face was a normal girl. At some point during the episode, she removed her helmet, and we see normal hair and skin. Haruka calls her Anjelica, and she has helped him a lot on this dungeon dive. All of Haruka’s friends catch up to him, and it turns out he has to kill the dungeon boss to stop a stampede of monsters. It seems that Anjelica is the dungeon boss, but Haruka might have a plan to stop the stampede without killing her. I hope he can cause she seems like an interesting character I want to learn more about.
