English Dub Review: Loner Life in Another World “Dungeon Escape”

Overview:

After getting word about the stampede headed for town, Haruka has to escape the dungeon.

Our Take:

Haruka has been clearing the dungeon with Angelica for a few episodes now. We got a glimpse of her taking the helmet off and saw what seemed like a normal person. I know that Class Rep is supposed to be the love interest, but I think it says a lot about the character that we’ve had a character who doesn’t talk at all and seems to have better chemistry with Haruka than her. But at this point, there’s only one episode left, and we haven’t gotten any insight into her character at all yet.

I have to admit it felt like a cop out with how the stampede was stopped. Since Angelica is the dungeon’s emperor, she could essentially boss the monsters around. She ordered them to go back to the dungeon, but if she had that much sway over the monsters, then why did they have to fight all of the monsters during their dungeon exploration? I’m looking forward to the next episode because I think we’re going to get some explanation of Angelica. Too bad it’s also the last episode of the season.
