English Dub Review: How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer “That Time You Went to My Place and…”

Overview:

Asagi decides he wants to learn how to be cool because of something Fuji said to him. Fuij notices something weird is up with Asagi.

Our Take:

Asagi asks for some help from Kohaku on how to act using her “arrogant” persona. As you can imagine, he isn’t very good at it. It bothers Fuji, and she asks that he stop pretty quickly in the episode. She then asks for his help with her manga, and since one of the panels included a scene with handcuffs, Asagi becomes interested. As luck would have it, they end up handcuffed to each other and have to go outside for all to see.

One good thing about being handcuffed together is that it gave Asagi a chance to show off some manly charms for once. A car was coming, and he pulled Fuji in close, finally showing some progress. He wasn’t the only one who got to show off, though, because Suo got sick, and if you’ve watched enough romance anime, you know what happens next. Tokiwa gets home and takes care of her, It was nice to see some of the couples make a little bit of progress.
