English Dub Review: How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer “That Time I Went Camping and…”
Overview:
The six friends arrive at a campsite. The gang enjoys a barbecue in the great outdoors.
Our Take:
Hagi and Kohaku had some things to work out, but Tokiwa and Suo didn’t know how to get them together to talk. They decided that a camping trip would be the best way, and I loved that it got resolved quickly. I was worried at first because Hagi didn’t realize Kohaku thought the girl at his house was his girlfriend, not his sister, so he was answering questions in the most awkward way possible. Luckily, Kohaku apologized for making things awkward with his “girlfriend,” so he cleared it up right away.
I’m still frustrated with how often the girls cross-dress. I can understand that wearing more masculine clothes camping would probably be more comfortable. But can you tell me that wearing the wigs in the summer heat is comfortable? Again… I understand that this is the whole point of the show and what makes it unique, but we’ve never seen Kohaku in her girl clothes and only seen Suo and Fuji a handful of times. But I have to admit that not spending half a season of episodes on a misunderstanding was refreshing, so I enjoyed that.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
