Disney+ Announces Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord

Slated to debut sometime in 2026, Disney+ has announced the order of a new animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. 

The sequel series to Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels follows Darth Maul(Sam Witwer) return to assemble all of the disparate factions into a unit that may or may not be a precursor to how we eventually get the Knights of Ren.

The news was announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan of which there’s a poster below produced by Lucasfilm Animation showcasing all of the series the studio has worked on over the years.
