“Ted” Animated Series In Production: Another Actor Confirmed

A few weeks ago we told you about how a script for Ted was lying around a Mark Wahlberg photo and that we didn’t know if that was for the animated series or the live-action hit franchise for Peacock and it’s sounding more like it’s going to be for the former.

We told you about the prospect of a Ted animated series months ago, with Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg reprising their roles from the hit blockbuster franchise film as the titular character and “John” respectively. Since then, Netflix has made available both of those movies to stream which is typically a move other production companies make to help reengage fans for those properties before something new from said property releases. With the second season of the Ted live-action series having largely wrapped, it seems the animated series will follow soon after. One more actor tapped for the animated series…voice actor Jim Meskimen.

Jim is a long-time working voice actor largely in the comic book adaptations like DC, Marvel, and TMNT and has worked in both live-action and animated roles. In any event, it’s another log to the fire of an already highly-anticipated new project from Seth MacFarlane.

Synopsis:

John Bennett, a man whose childhood wish of bringing his teddy bear to life came true, now must decide between keeping the relationship with the bear, Ted or his girlfriend, Lori.
