Review: The Great North “Bust A Moon Adventure”
Overview
Moon makes a big decision after clashing with Beef; Judy and Ham hatch a plot to make some extra cash.
Our Take
Family Guy had an Airbnb bit earlier tonight but it wasn’t as in depth as Kevin Seccia and certainly didn’t feature Dan Cantrell’s accordion playing. Though as funny as that bit was, the other result of Beef letting his kids do what they want to do so as to learn an important lesson, Moon making HIS big decision, was far more comically endearing.
The big decision this week is that Moon emancipates himself from Beef and moves out of the house. Now, I’m not sure if this is permanent, but if it is, it’s already hilarious. Led by the fact that Beef has since had a number of his friends also become emancipated from their parents and subsequently living with Moon who still has to somehow (where is this kid getting this money, btw?) come up with rent and make sure nobody dies under his supervision. He very nearly fails at the latter, but the important thing is Moon learns a lesson in being an adult with responsibilities which is an excellent moral for the story.
I kept laughing hysterically each time the ante was upped in being the head of the household for Moon. From the mountains of chicken nuggets to kids getting nightmares from scary movies, Moon living with his pals was almost like a parody of Animal House as done by The Great North and I was absolutely here for it. I could’ve even done without the Airbnb bit only to just save it as a premise for an entire episode entirely in exchange for having more time with Moon being the head of a household, but overall a strong episode.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
