Review: Krapopolis “Baby Boom”
Overview
Aphrodite’s Fertility Fest is here and baby fever is at an all time high; Ty tries to relax at a bathhouse but it’s proving difficult to let loose.
Our Take
If there’s anyone on Krapopolis that I wouldn’t want to see have a baby it’s certainly Stupendous and that notion nearly comes to blows this week. With Rachael MacFarlane as the voice of Aphrodite leading off a very busy voice cast that also includes the likes or Riki Lindhome, Dave Franco, and others, this Mo Welch-written episode certainly has all of the makings of a solid episode that the show sorely needs in it’s second season, does it not?
In any event, Mo Welch has been a cartoonist for a long time and she deserves all of the flowers that this planet can possibly flower, and it shows as she helps deliver a somewhat serviceable episode of Krapopolis. Both plots really didn’t have a lot to write home about in terms of dialogue, with the one lone exception possibly being Ty’s speeches at the bathhouse, but other than the somewhat action-packed fight scene amongst gods, Krapopolis enters in a humourous with some smart premises. The dialogue is just so safe and other than Hannah Waddingham nobody’s voice acting is strong enough to carry the show with dialogue as weak as this so hopefully we can get someone to punch up these scripts a bit.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
