Netflix Details April 2025 Adult Animation Premieres
After a very long March of MAX and Prime Video beating the shit out of Netflix in terms of adult animation debuts, the biggest streamer in the world finally checks in with two new original series set to debut in April 2025. Of note, Witch Watch will also be debuting on Netflix with an English dubbed adaptation on April 27th but is technically not an original series because the series will also be available on Crunchyroll and Hulu, get more details on that here.

In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Premiering on April 10, Moonrise unfolds on a grand scale, adapting the novel by Tou Ubukata (author of “Tenchi Meisatsu” and series composition/scriptwriter for Fafner in the Azure and Psycho-Pass) to explore this question. Directed by Masashi Koizuka (Attack on Titan Seasons 2 and 3) and produced by WIT Studio (Ranking of Kings, SPY x FAMILY), this brand-new sci-fi series features stunning character concepts by manga artist Hiromu Arakawa (“Fullmetal Alchemist,” “Silver Spoon”).
