English Dub Review: Medalist “Dance the Night”
Overview:
The Lux Higashiyama FSC summer training camp begins, and Inori plans to perfect her double Axel. Meanwhile, Tsukasa offers to help Rioh, but Rioh turns him down.
Our Take:
Look… I fully understand that Rioh is a little boy that doesn’t know a lot of things but when you come after Tsukasa I’m not going to like you right off the bat. Especially when you don’t think he can teach you anything because he didn’t get to a certain level of competition. People who don’t make it to the pinnacle of their sport coach at the highest levels all the time. Admittedly, ice skating isn’t a sport I’m overly familiar with so perhaps it’s a little different but I have a feeling my point is still applicable.
I’m glad that Miketa is back and her and Inori seems to be on better terms than when they competed against each other. Unfortunately, her and Rioh don’t seem to get along very well, he even called her a different animal and she said she is a cat. I like how she’s one of the few anime characters that realizes she has animal characteristics.
Inori manages to make quite a bit of progress but this episode was mostly focused on Tsukasa trying to gain Rioh’s respect. I think he’s almost there and it’s going to take one small push to finally break through.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
