English Dub Review: Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms “Theme Park with Him”

Overview:

The gang hits a theme park for Tomo’s welcome party, and she and Asahi have plans afoot!

Our Take:

I always find it fascinating that these anime characters feel honor-bound to tell their rival something they’ve done. Asahi felt like she should tell Mona that she kissed Medaka. Now I don’t know if it was on purpose or what but she either forgot to say it was a kiss on the cheek or Mona didn’t hear that part because she started freaking out. Tomo wants to be a good friend and help Mona as best she can so she talks Mona into inviting Medaka and all their friends to a theme park as a welcome party for her.

Asahi doesn’t back down and goes out of her way to get Medaka to ride with her on the roller coaster. Tomo manages to get Medaka to ride with Mona as well but I would say Asahi took advantage of her ride a lot more.

We also received news today about a second season. I would imagine today was the air date of the last episode for the sub and they wanted to waste no time in announcing season two. I wouldn’t say I’m excited but I’m not disappointed either. Perhaps it will finish the manga, I’m not quite sure how much there is left to adapt.
