English Dub Review: Loner Life in Another World “Headed to Town”

Overview:

Haruka encounters the jocks. They tell him they’ve kept an eye on the delinquents and that someone has a terrifying OP skill called “Hijack.”

Our Take(Spoilers):

I find it fascinating that there are all these skills where people can control others with their use. What is also interesting is that Haruka admitted he had one, and he didn’t mean to use it, but still got yelled at by Class Rep and all the other girls for accidentally using it. It’s interesting because we learn one of the more troublesome skills, known as “Hijack”, is owned by Class Rep. This made me lose quite a bit of respect for her because she knows what it’s like to have a skill like that and still ridiculed Haruka.

Haruka did what he needed to do though and got them to the nearest town. They also interacted with the first locals of this world since being brought here. As far as first meetings go, it was pretty successful. Once again I have to say that as far as isekai goes this is a pretty unique show when it comes to how it has handled things. We’re four episodes in and they have just now interacted with people of this world.
