Our Take

For a Season Finale of sorts, this packed in a lot into its time-bending narrative, raising more questions than answers while setting up what’s to come. With its mystery and layered storytelling. The pacing can feel overwhelming at times, but the emotional weight and tension make for a compelling watch.

And while the structure of the season feels more like a long teaser rather than a fully fleshed-out arc, it still provides plenty of intrigue and depth. Some moments may feel rushed, but they serve a larger purpose in building up anticipation for the crazy twists and how they all connect in a meaningful way.

Overall, this arc felt like an extended teaser for Season 3 rather than a standalone story. The animation remains top-tier, and both the opening and ending themes helped bring emotional depth, but the pacing could have benefited from an extra episode to flesh out crucial moments. Despite its flaws, it was serviceable even if criminally short. The question now is, will Season 3 help fill in those gaps if it’s ever made?
